A show of support from the community and local businesses saw more than $30,000 raised at the Torch Charity Golf Day.

The day saw 112 golfers tee off from the Georges River Golf Course. Ex-Bulldogs players Andrew Ryan, Luke Patten and Brad Morrin were there on the day as the team representing Canterbury League Club.

Organised by Torch Publishing, this event sees proceeds go towards assisting the Australian Cancer Research Foundation in its quest to find a cure for cancer.

Among the major sponsors, Canterbury showed their support for this charity event by donating $1000 through their ClubGrants program.
