Looking for the next junior star
Canterbury is on the lookout for the next shining star in their school holiday junior talent quest.
Canterbury’s Search for a Star, running every day from Monday 14 April till Wednesday 16 April, is open to children between the ages of 6 to 13 years who have a special talent to show off.
There will be four heats on Monday and Tuesday; the first heat is from 10.30am – 12 noon and the second heat will start at 1.30pm and finish at 3.00pm. The first three winners of each heat will proceed to the Grand Finals on Wednesday.
X-Factor 2013 Top 24 performer, Jayden Rodriguez, will be hosting the fun competition and there will be a final prize pool of $500 to share between the lucky winners.
Entry is free for participants but they must register before Friday 11 April. Participants are encouraged to bring along their own cheer squad for support and there will be prizes for the best supporters.
It is $3 per child to watch the competition. Parents and babies 12 months or under do not require a ticket. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
