New delights at Canterbury restaurants

Flame Pizza + Grill has upped the ante for meat lovers with their new 1.1kg tender prime rib steak called The Tomahawk.

The new menu item joins the ranks of Flame’s other steaks offerings which often reads like a list of fine red wine. The steak list has been sourced from local Australian farmers in leading beef regions including Tasmania, North Western NSW and the Riverina.

The Tomahawk is served medium rare with a choice of two sides and is not for the faint-hearted – it is a serious steak for serious steak lovers.

For those that love to have a slow breakfast on the weekends, Flame Pizza + Grill is now opened for breakfast every Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 11am. The breakfast menu contains favourites like eggs Benedict, pancakes and the Flame Big Brekky with a mix of all your favourite cooked options.

Schnitzel devotees can also rejoice as Banyan Brasserie introduces its new Mega Schnitzel menu which crumbs, coats and fries up your choice of chicken, pork or veal. Choose additional toppings to go with your schnitzel or enjoy it on its own.

Two new menu options have also been added to Matt’s Picks kilojoule-controlled menu; try the new grilled beef fillet with a lentil, beetroot and fetta salad or the grilled lamb back strap with a spiced chick pea and sweet potato salad – meals that packs a flavoursome punch without hitting your waistline.
