Christmas decorations are up and tis now the season to be jolly – with Canterbury celebrating the season in style.
Santa and his magical helper will be at Canterbury every night from Monday 7th until Wednesday 23rd December from 5.30-7.30pm. Santa can be found in his special Santa chair opposite the Reception area so don’t forget to make a list of the things you want for Christmas this year to drop in his North Pole mailbox.
For Members and guests who love getting their jingle on with Christmas songs, a pianist and vocalist will be singing Christmas carols at the front foyer from Friday 18th until Thursday 24th December from 6-8pm. Canterbury will be dusting off their baby grand piano for this festive occasion so join in the merriment the next time you are at the Club.
If you don’t feel like cooking on Christmas Day then leave the cooking to us and dine at Flame Pizza + Grill or Banyan Brasserie. Whether it be Flame’s two or three course meal or Banyan’s popular Christmas buffet lunch, there is something for everyone at Canterbury this year. Bookings are essential so please contact 9704 7777 for more details.
The decorations inside the Club this year are set to dazzle. At last count, there are over 68 metres of garlands, 18 Christmas trees, 9 wreaths, 4 reindeer and 1 big Santa chair!

“Christmas is always a festive time at Canterbury – the Club makes the effort to dress up with lots of decorations, trees, garlands and wreaths to really get into that Christmas spirit. I invite everyone to bring along their family and friends to enjoy some of our Christmas activities over the next few weeks and be a part of the merry season,” said Dave Brace, CEO of Canterbury League Club.
