With a variety of wood-fired pizzas, pastas, meat dishes and salads on the menu, diners wanting to experience great Italian food will surely find it at Lavico Italian Ristorante.

Lavico, which means lava in Italian, is Canterbury League Club’s latest family-friendly restaurant. It got its name from the Club’s iconic volcano water feature which sits just outside the restaurant.

“Our members and guests have indicated their preference for a good Italian restaurant where they can bring their kids for a nice family meal in a more casual setting,” said Wayne Nolland, General Manager of Food & Beverage at Canterbury League Club.

“Since we opened two weeks ago, we’ve have had an amazing response and feedback has been positive. I invite our local community to come and try Lavico out for themselves – Maurizio, our talented Pizza Chef, has been making pizzas for over 30 years and is very passionate about making the perfect dough base for all of his pizzas.”

“All of the dishes on the menu are my favourites since they are all my recipes! The chef team and I have spent a lot of time making sure Lavico’s menu is family-friendly and yet bursting with layers of flavours,” said Stephanie Azar, Executive Chef at Canterbury.

From the menu diners can indulge in dishes such as Gnocchi Mare E Monte, Spiedini Antipasto, Chicken Funghi, Potato Pizza, Napolitana Pizza and finish off with the decadent Chef’s Tiramisu. Diners will be able to enjoy their meals under a lush green canopy of bougainvillea and fairy lights and be transported to Italy for one night.

Lavico is open for lunch Friday to Sunday and dinner Wednesday to Sunday. Visit for the menu or call 9704 7777 to make a booking.
