Canterbury cooking for the homeless through lockdown

Posted on Tuesday, 19 May 2020

COVID-19 isn’t dampening Canterbury’s community spirits in the least – last month Canterbury chefs and staff did their bit for the homeless by cooking hot meals and providing sandwiches, fruits and drinks. The freshly-prepared meals were picked up by local Punchbowl group, Maronites on Mission, later that night to be distributed to people living rough on the streets at two drop-off points in the city, Woolloomooloo and Martin Place.
