Congratulations to Life Member Arthur Coorey OAM

Congratulations to Mr. Arthur Coorey OAM on being elected as a Life Member of the League Club in recognition of his exceptional and distinguished service to the Club.
His distinguished service to Canterbury includes:
- Leading the Club to become one of the top 4 clubs in NSW
- Played a valuable role on various Club committees including the Building & Project Control Committee which oversaw the design and delivery of the Club’s most recent expansion project
- Advocating the Club’s support of our local communities. He was also instrumental in the establishment of the Club’s award-winning program with Maronites on a Mission to feed the homeless every month
- Performing the role of Deputy Chairman of the Board during his entire term on the Board with distinction and an untiring commitment to the interests of the Club
- His achievements as a member of the Club’s parent club, Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs Rugby League Club (during which he served on the board of that club between 1994 – 2002 and 2008 – 2018), saw him honoured with life membership of that club on 11 February 2007
- His distinguished service in assisting the Bulldogs, as parent Club, included acting as a conduit between the Federal and State Governments for funding grants for the restoration of Belmore Sportsground
