Celebrating Staff at the 2026 Staff Service Awards

Canterbury League Club recently recognised 53 employees for a combined 705 years of service at the club’s annual Staff Service Awards.

The evening brought together staff from across every department within the business – chefs, club attendants, security officers, fitness instructors, and more – to celebrate their service milestones.

Canterbury League Club CEO Greg Pickering spoke about what the night means to him and to the club.

“Tonight is one of my favourite events of the year because it’s all about recognising the people who make this organisation what it is,” said Greg.

“I’d also like to acknowledge and thank our Board of Directors and their genuine commitment to recognising and investing in our people. They understand that our greatest asset is not our buildings, our technology, or our balance sheet – it’s our team.”

Thank you to every member of our team, regardless of your role, department, title or length of service. Every person contributes to the culture we’ve built and the success we enjoy and every person plays a role in creating an organisation that we can all be proud of.”
