Bakehouse Café Turns 10: A Month of Thank-Yous for Our Members

Ten years ago, October 2016, Bakehouse Café opened its doors at Canterbury League Club.

A decade on, it’s still where members start their mornings, catch up over cake, and queue for some of the best coffee in the area!

To mark the milestone, Canterbury is throwing the café a month-long birthday party – and members are invited to the whole thing.

From Monday 12 October to Tuesday 10 November, Bakehouse Café is running a full program of anniversary offers. To kick the celebrations off, Bakehouse Cafe chefs have created a limited-edition anniversary food range including the Loaded Birthday Bash Shake, Ultimate Cuban Sandwich, Seafood Treasure Brioche Roll, Loaded Southern Chicken Croissant, and a Birthday Brownie & Coffee Combo.

Stephanie Azar, Canterbury’s Chief Food & Beverage Officer, was part of the team on opening day back in 2016 and will be there for this year’s cake-cutting too. “It’s been an absolute privilege serving this community for the last ten years,” she said. “We’re looking forward to another ten, and in the meantime, we hope every member gets in and enjoys the anniversary specials.”
