Applications for the 2026 Canterbury-Bankstown Local ClubGRANTS Category 1 funding program are now open, and Canterbury League Club invites eligible local organisations to apply for support for projects that benefit the local community.

Each year, ClubGRANTS provides vital funding to support projects and initiatives that address community needs across areas such as health, youth services, disability support, family services, education and social inclusion. These partnerships help deliver programs that strengthen community connections and provide practical support for people who need it most.

Last year 285 projects from 99 local organisations were supported, totalling $2.77 million.

Example of projects funded include:

  1. $7,200 to Canterbury City Community Centre’s Drive To Success program helping newly arrived refugee and migrant women navigate the process of obtaining their learner permits
  2. $10,700 to Royal Life Saving NSW to deliver water safety education to 1200 primary school students in Canterbury-Bankstown
  3. $55,000 to upgrade the shared therapy lounge/dining room and adjoining balcony of Telopea Ward at Canterbury Hospital, and
  4. $20,000 to help purchase insulin pumps for needy kids through Diabetes Alive.

Local not-for-profit organisations and community groups delivering programs within the Canterbury-Bankstown area are encouraged to apply and share how their initiatives will make a difference.

Applications will be accepted here until 31 May 2026.

“Through the ClubGRANTS Category 1 program, registered clubs like Canterbury are proud to support these organisations and the important programs they deliver for our community,” said Peter Winchester, Chairman of Canterbury League Club.
