The various sub clubs at Canterbury League Club offer something for every member to participate in and make new friends.

Members can join a range of sub clubs ranging from golf, fishing, indoor sports, backgammon, chess, squash, lawn bowls, travel and even the homing pigeon society.

The sub clubs are very social with regular meet ups and new members are encouraged to join.

The sub clubs create a fun and friendly environment that welcome beginners to join as they will be taught how to play.

Each sub clubs calls a different Canterbury venue home; Canterbury League Club, Moxon Sports Club and The Lakemba Club have different sub clubs.

Moxon Sports Club is home to the Pigeon Club and Social Lawn Bowls. The sub club’s meet up regularly and battle it out in a fun environment and all are welcome.

At Canterbury League Club, the squash Club is the place to be to work up a sweat along with Indoor Sports, Golf and Fishing. Members can have fun in a competitive environment.

At Lakemba, Aris will teach you a thing or two about Backgammon, one of the oldest board games in the world or you can have a go at Chess, Shuffleboard or Social outings.

To help the sub clubs remain functioning and to be able to continue supporting the community, Canterbury League Club provides donations through the ClubGrants program.
