Bulldogs a hit in The Bay

Over 500 Bulldogs fans excitedly gathered at The Bay Sports Club to welcome their heroes at the annual Bulldogs Family Day on January 10.

The event kicked off at 1pm with the Bulldogs split into two groups – one group participated in a social game of bowls while the other half mingled with fans taking photos and providing autographs – before swapping over.

Players from the Bateau Bay Men’s Bowling Club were at hand on the day to provide the Bulldogs players with advice and quick how-to tips before teaming up to play a round of bowls.

Josh Reynolds and Trent Hodkinson were just among some players popular with fans wanting to meet and pose with their favourite stars. Captain Michael Ennis, Josh Jackson and Tim Browne were also big hits with the fans.

“It’s always nice to have a game of bowls and see so many people who love the club, come out and show their support,” said Trent Hodkinson.

Bulldogs supporters also had the opportunity to meet new 2014 recruits Chase Stanley, Tyrone Phillips and Pat O’Hanlon, and wish them the best of luck for the 2014 season.

“It was a great day for the kids and their families to meet their favourite players and get a few pictures.
