C-Life brings father and son pair closer together

Greenacre local, George Rizk, has been a Canterbury League Club member for over 13 years and has been a C-Life Health Club gym-goer for just as long.

He has seen the changes Canterbury and C-Life have undergone over the past decade, including the construction of the northern wing and Flame restaurant, C-Life moving from the second floor to where it is now near Reception, as well as the current $100 million redevelopment of the Club, however what keeps him coming back for more has been the people.

“The people I have met – patrons, members and employees of the Club from CEO Dave Brace to Maurice (Greeting Attendant) who greets everyone with that great smile every morning and everyone in between – they are all so warm and welcoming,” said George Rizk.

And ever since his son, Jordan Rizk, turned 16, George has taken him under his wing and introduced him to positive lifestyle changes by training consistently at C-Life.

“C-Life is a big part of my life – I train 6 days per week and I have been training with my son, Jordan, for quite a few months now,” said George.

“Our relationship has grown from strength to strength and this is very special to me. It has definitely brought us a lot closer together as we speak a lot more and listen to each other more.  As a father I feel truly blessed as I have got to know my son as a young man.”

It is a really rewarding experience for any father, especially in today’s times when there are just not enough hours in a day to spend quality time with your children.  As a father and son, the gym has definitely brought us closer together and I would really encourage other fathers and sons to give it a go.”

To encourage more dads to get exercising, C-Life is currently running a promotion in the lead up to Father’s Day where a six week membership will only cost $89 when it usually costs $100 for a four week membership.

This year, Father’s Day will also be a special occasion for George, Jordan and the rest of their family: “We will be going to church, have a siesta in the afternoon and then go out for dinner in the evening.”

Spoil your dad on Father’s Day with a meal at Canterbury; Banyan Brasserie, Flame Pizza + Grill or Dynasty will be open for lunch or dinner. Bookings essential. Free face painting will be available for the kids.
