Canterbury League Club Supports Rev. Bill Crews Foundation’s Annual Christmas Food Hamper Drive

Canterbury League Club has once again shown its commitment to supporting those in need, donating $5,000 worth of tinned and packaged goods to the Rev. Bill Crews Foundation for its annual Christmas Food Hamper Drive.

Canterbury League Club personally delivered this year’s donation, arriving at the Rev. Bill Crews Foundation in Ashfield with a van filled with essential pantry items. Bulldogs players, staff and club legends Josh Reynolds and Terry Lamb were there to lend a hand on the day, helping unload the goods from the van.

Rev. Bill Crews, a Bulldogs supporter himself, was on hand to receive the donation and expressed his gratitude for the continued partnership. Canterbury League Club Chairman, Peter Winchester, who was also present on the day, reaffirmed the Club’s commitment to supporting vulnerable community members during the festive season.

“Canterbury is honoured to stand alongside Rev. Bill Crews and his team again this year,” said Peter Winchester. “Christmas can be a difficult time for many families, and we’re proud to contribute in a way that helps ease some of that pressure through meaningful support.”

The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation continues to provide vital services. Providing free meals, healthcare, welfare support, counselling, and literacy programs to individuals and families experiencing hardship. Canterbury’s annual donation will help ensure more households receive the essentials they need during the holiday season.

“Our community is at the heart of everything we do. We will always support organisations making a real difference, especially during times when people need it most,” said Peter Winchester.
