Canterbury Welcomes SportsPlus: A New Dimension in Entertainment

An exciting addition is set to redefine the entertainment landscape within Canterbury – introducing SportsPlus, a virtual sports bar providing an interactive experience for individuals of all ages, from kids to adults.

Championing the fun at SportsPlus are two of SportsPlus’ Founders, Will Walker and Mike Canty. The British duo bring a vision that merges innovation, inclusivity, and a passion for sports to create an unparalleled destination for entertainment and community engagement.

“SportsPlus is the ultimate social playground where you can play, watch, eat, and drink – making it the ideal venue for kids’ parties, work events, bucks parties, birthdays, and more,” said Mike.

Visitors to SportsPlus can immerse themselves in the thrill of virtual competition in six different sports simulators equipped with cutting-edge technology; choosing from golf, cricket, tennis, baseball, lacrosse or darts.

Positioned on Level 1 of Canterbury, SportsPlus can be found directly opposite to the Club’s newly established artisanal cocktail bar, Bartega. The opening of SportsPlus completes Canterbury’s building program to reactivate the northern end of the Club, together with the shortly to-be-completed new showroom.

“SportsPlus aligns perfectly with Canterbury League Club’s vision for growth and diversification, providing patrons with another outlet of entertainment, in addition to the Club’s already existing premium offerings,” said Will.
