Canterbury’s donation to the Rev Bill Crews Foundation

In a partnership between Canterbury League Club and Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Rugby League Club, last month volunteer Bulldogs players and trainers visited The Rev Bill Crews Foundation in Ashfield to deliver $5,000 worth of dry canned food to support their Christmas Hamper drive.  

The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation provides support services to vulnerable and disadvantaged community members to help alleviate homelessness and poverty. Some of their services include access to medical staff, social workers, counselling, a daily soup kitchen which serves up to 2,000 meals every day, and food parcel assistance. 

“Thank you to the Bulldogs volunteers and Canterbury staff who dropped off the food and spent some time learning about the foundation. Canterbury is proud to support Rev Bill Crews to help feed a community in need,” said Peter Winchester, Chairman of Canterbury League Club.
