Club’s New Showroom Nearing Completion
In the past few months, Level 1 of the Club has been abuzz with energy from Bartega’s opening, the launch of SportsPlus and the construction of an exciting new showroom.
Earlier in the year, Bartega, Canterbury’s artisanal cocktail bar opened, seamlessly marrying the glamour of a high-end cocktail bar with the warmth of a neighbourhood gem. Patrons to Bartega could enjoy being surrounded by striking interiors whilst sipping on creative cocktails made by in-house mixologists.
SportsPlus, Sydney’s newest social playground for everyone, officially opened at the end of November and introduces a new world of indoor sports simulators and social entertainment to Members and guests keen to play golf, cricket, tennis, baseball, lacrosse or darts. They are open seven days a week from 12 noon onwards and punters interested to try out SportsPlus can make an online booking here
Anticipation is building for the completion of the new showroom and function space directly opposite SportsPlus and Bartega. Building works have been brisk and there has been significant progress in the space, including the fitting of gyprock and wall panelling, painting, completion of electrical services in the ceiling for lights and AV equipment, and tiling to the new dual-sided bar.
In the back-of-house area, a large commercial kitchen which will service the new showroom and outlets on Level 1 has been installed. Members and guests will also enjoy the new purpose-built bathrooms, finished with modern fittings and beautiful tiles, located within the new showroom.
“Progress on Level 1 is going extremely well and we are looking forward to opening the new showroom shortly in the new year. The new almost 500-seat capacity will elevate Canterbury’s offering as a function centre and hospitality destination of choice for our local community needing space for corporate events, presentations, gala nights, school formals, award ceremonies and so on,” said Greg Pickering, CEO of Canterbury League Club.
