Wishing Tree Appeal to bring holiday cheer
Making sure that no child or teen misses out on the holiday cheer, Canterbury is collecting gifts on behalf of The Salvation Army, Campsie for the next two weeks.
For the past few years, staff have been collecting presents for children and teenagers in need, and the response has always been overwhelmingly generous and positive. This year, Members can join in by donating gifts too!
To share some Christmas love, simply choose a tag from the Christmas Tree opposite Canterbury’s Reception and attach it to your thoughtful gift. Drop it off at Reception and we will make sure our local Salvos gets it in time to bring some holiday cheer to families facing financial difficulties.
Ideas for presents include gift cards, sports equipment, hair and body products, board games, arts and craft packs, story books and other items suitable for children and teenagers.
The Canterbury Wishing Tree Appeal will run until Monday 3 Dec 2019 and our friendly Salvos Officer will come around to collect gifts the next day. For more information, contact Reception on 9704 7777.
*Please do not wrap gifts but feel free to donate wrapping paper or place in a gift bag when you drop off them off
