C-Life Health Club will be heavily promoting the importance of moderate exercise for seniors during Seniors Week.

Light exercise has been proven to reduce the symptoms of chronic illnesses like arthritis and diabetes, reduce high blood pressure and maintain a healthy weight, muscle tone and bone density.

During Seniors Week, C-Life will be providing free entry to the gym for all Senior Card holders. This promotion also includes free access to all Revive classes which is a class designed for over 55s with an emphasis on cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength, balance and mobility.

There will be three Revive classes during the week with a special Healthy Seniors Morning Tea after the Friday class. For more information on details and times, please visit the C-Life website on www.clifehealth.com.au

In a move to encourage grandparents to get moving and active, C-Life will also be offering their crèche services to mind the grandkids while Nanna and Pop workout. Bookings for the crèche are necessary.

Seniors Week, which runs from 15-23 March, encourages people over the age 50 to keep healthy and active, be independent and be involved within the community.

Canterbury League Club will also be celebrating Seniors Week with a daily lunch at the Banyan Brassiere. A special two course lunch of a main meal and dessert will be served from 12 noon Monday to Friday in Seniors Week and will cost $9 per person.

For seniors who prefer a lunch and show combination, there will be cabaret concert on Thursday 20 March featuring performances by Alex Fernandez and Monique Montez. Lunch, $7 per person, will be served at 11am followed by the concert in the Paragon Room at 12.30pm.
