Final Phase of Club Solar Project Completes

A bird’s eye view shows an impressive number of solar panels crisscrossing Canterbury League Club’s expansive roofs as installers finished the last stage of solar panel installations.
Two years ago, Canterbury completed Stage 1 of an ambitious solar panel installation project installing 217 solar panels, which have the capacity to generate 190.9 kWp daily.
Last year, installers completed Stage 2, adding even more solar panels and nearly doubling Canterbury’s potential daily electricity generation to 327.18 kWp – enough solar power to support the equivalent of 41 residential homes!
“Members can freely enjoy the comfort of the Club’s air-conditioning, knowing that the power of sunshine is powering our systems; in addition to reducing our carbon footprint,” said Greg Pickering, CEO of Canterbury League Club.
