Generosity in Action: Vinnies Clothing Drive Raises $16,000 worth of Clothing

The recent Vinnies clothing drive at Canterbury League Club was a resounding success thanks to the generosity of our Members and guests! Over the course of four weeks several tonnes of pre-loved, clean, undamaged, good quality or lightly worn items were donated, which Vinnies valued at approximately $16,000.
All donated items will be sold at Vinnies Bankstown store to support the community through vital services such as food relief, bill assistance, and referral programs.
Among the standout donations were two “hero pieces” — a Bally single-breasted leather coat and a Jacquemus beige and black ‘The Small Soli Basket’ Tote — both of which are featured and sold on Vinnies’ newly launched ecommerce site, VinniesFinds.
Canterbury League Club Chairman Peter Winchester said, “It’s incredible to see our community rally behind such an important cause. We’re proud to have played a small role in making a big difference.”
He continued, “Our Club has always believed in giving back, and campaigns like this show the strength and generosity of our Members.”
“Supporting organisations like Vinnies, who are doing real work on the ground, aligns perfectly with our values at Canterbury,” Peter added.
Thank you to everyone who donated — your contributions are helping change lives this winter!
