LOCAL CLUBGRANTS FUNDING ROUND NOW OPEN
The Local ClubGrants Funding round will open on Tuesday 5 March 2019 and closes on Sunday 19 April 2019.
The funding round allows for community groups and charities to apply for grants to fund projects that will benefit the local community.
All medium and large Clubs in the Canterbury Bankstown Local Government Area contribute to the funding pool with administration support provided by Canterbury Bankstown City Council.
In 2018, Canterbury League Club provided $196,512 to fund twenty separate projects through the ClubGrants funding round.
Community groups that received funding included Men of League Foundation, Diabetes Alive, Gift of Bread, Canterbury Hospital and NSW SES Canterbury Unit.
‘Our Club like so many others in the area, provides local community groups with support and facilities that they require. We are proud of the work these groups and organisations do to help build a stronger community,’ said George Coorey Chairman of Canterbury League Club.
