New coat of paint to freshen space for newborns and mothers
Parents accessing help from Tresillian’s Canterbury Residential Centre are now benefitting from a much-welcomed upgrade to the space thanks to a $25,000 donation from Canterbury League Club.
The facility’s family rooms have been meticulously re-painted and the facility’s kitchen has been upgraded for the enjoyment and convenience of families, babies, and toddlers during their stay at the centre.
“Our thanks to Canterbury League Club for their generous contribution to the project,” said Zoe Booth, Tresillian’s spokesperson.
“Re-painting the centre is vital for providing a well-presented facility to mothers and babies as they go through a difficult and stressful time in their lives. A well-maintained facility adds to the positive experience they need to take away from Tresillian so they can go home ready for the challenges that come with a newborn baby.”
“Giving back to the community encourages local unity whilst simultaneously giving responsibility to a variety of people involved. The Tresillian donation is a great example of parents and hospital workers uniting to provide guidance for a child’s early years of life,“ said Peter Winchester, Chairman of Canterbury League Club.
