NRL Vegas Watch Party a huge hit at Canterbury

Hundreds of fans turned out for the first-ever NRL Vegas Watch Party in the Showroom at Canterbury League Club last Sunday to watch all the action live and direct from Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas.
The Showroom was adorned with a Vegas theme, including the “King of Rock and Roll” himself, popular Elvis-impersonator Paul Fenech, acting as the day’s emcee – keeping the crowd entertained with several popular Elvis bangers including ‘Viva Las Vegas’ and ‘A Little Less Conversation’.
Adding to the excitement later in the day, Bulldogs Players Jacob Kiraz, Jonathan Sua, Jack Underhill and Cassius Tia, and Bulldogs Hall of Famers Terry Lamb, Hazem El-Masri and Dr. George Peponis made special appearances, signing merchandise, and taking photos with fans.
Bulldogs mascots Brutus and Bella were also on hand, bringing plenty of laughs and photo opportunities for families and supporters alike.
The event wasn’t just about the on-screen action – there were lots of prize giveaways including a Framed & Signed 2024 Bulldogs Jersey, food carts selling American game-day favourites like hot dogs, cheeseburgers, chicken buffalo wings, and a kids’ face painting station, ensuring a fun-filled experience for all ages.
“We had a great response to this event, a testament to the passion of our local rugby league fans. We can’t wait for the Bulldogs to have their turn playing in Las Vegas in the future; we will definitely be showing our home ground support to provide a fantastic atmosphere for Bulldogs fans to cheer them on from here,” said Greg Pickering, CEO of Canterbury League Club.
Thank you to everyone who attended and go the Bulldogs for the start of the season!
