Rise for Alex McKinnon

Canterbury and the Bulldogs rallied together to show their support for recently injured Newcastle Knight, Alex McKinnon.
In the week leading up to the Bulldogs’ Round 8 game against the Knights, donation boxes were put out around the club for patrons to show their support. Canterbury also contributed another $10,000 to the ‘Rise for Alex’ fundraiser.
Fans were more than happy to help out with donations when the Bulldogs sent around collection tins during the Saturday game – raising over $3,500.
Another $10,000 came from major Bulldogs sponsor, Jaycar Electronics. Overall $25,000 was raised and the cheque was handed to the Knights at the post-game presentation. The funds will go towards Alex’s rehabilitation program to help him recover.
