Riverwood Community Fair fun for everyone

On Saturday March 19, doors to the Riverwood Community Centre will be thrown open to welcome the general public to their annual Riverwood Community Fair.

Helped by a $2,000 donation from Canterbury League Club, the fair will have a multitude of goods stalls, food stalls, rides, a jumping castle, face painting, raffles, an animal farm and petting zoo, and pony rides.

“The primary aim of this event is to promote and enhance community spirit in the local area with the added benefit of raising some essential funds required to allow us to continue providing the quality programs that benefit our community,” said Krystal Warren, Event Coordinator for Riverwood Community Centre.

“Most importantly it is a family day with a focus on fun, activities and entertainment for children at affordable prices.”

The fair will start from 9am and run until 3pm with an expected 5,000 people attending based on previous years’ numbers.

“Fairs like this are a great way for families to enjoy themselves and participate in a socially inclusive environment. I encourage everyone to go on the rides, support the stalls and have a great time,” said Dr George Peponis OAM, Chairman of Canterbury League Club.
