In the weeks leading up to Christmas, the call was put out for donations of presents through the Canterbury Wishing Tree Appeal in support of The Salvation Army Campsie.

And boy, was Santa kept busy!

Thanks to everyone’s generous Christmas spirit and holiday cheer gifts in the form of toys, books, makeup and gift cards were collected over two weeks.

“Thank you to Members and staff who donated and helped out with our Wishing Tree Appeal – your gifts would have definitely brought many smiles to the faces of children and families this Christmas,” said Greg Pickering, CEO of Canterbury League Club.

Rong Fu, the Campsie branch Salvos Officer was on hand to receive the gifts.

“Thank you to Canterbury for the generous gifts and support of our Christmas Appeal. We helped out about 90 families in our area, so you are truly making a difference in people’s lives,” said Rong.
