STAFF COMMUNITY PROGRAM

Posted on Friday, 28 December 2018

Canterbury staff members can get involved in the local community and volunteer their time to help raise money and awareness for important charities.

Programs supported by staff include Maronites On Mission, Jersey Day, Jeans For Genes Day and Pink Ribbon Day.

This year’s staff program is jam packed with many ways that staff can get involved.

The Maronite’s On Mission will continue for another run on the last Thursday of every month.

Each month six staff volunteers hand out more than 150 hot meals and drinks to people doing it tough.

For the first time, Canterbury League Club has partnered with Pass It On Clothing to provide a clothing bin for staff to donate new or good quality clothing shoes and accessories.

When staff donate, the clothing goes directly to the people that need it most across Sydney’s homeless and disadvantaged community.

Staff will have the opportunity to fundraise for Jeans for Genes Day and Breast Cancer Awareness Week. Last year Canterbury turned pink which saw pink desserts being sold in the Bistro and the Bakehouse.

C-Life also will turn pink with a pink inspired timetable and decorations.

Staff will be given the opportunity to attend a health expo that is organised by the Club. Staff will receive a free flu vaccination, speak to a doctor, check their blood pressure, cholesterol and blood glucose. The expo provides staff with an opportunity to discuss health issues with a dietitian, massage therapist and nurse.

“Canterbury’s company culture is focused on the community and what it means to be local,” said George Coorey Chairman of Canterbury League Club. best place to buy texas fake id
