Subsidised Kid’s Rugby League Program Helping Families Beat Costs

Canterbury League Club are once again providing $100 per child to help cover the costs of junior rugby league registrations costs.
In the Future Bulldogs program, children playing at least five games in Under 5s to Under 13s in the Canterbury-Bankstown District Junior Rugby League (CBDJRL) 2025 season are eligible for funding.
“The goal of Future Bulldogs is to encourage more children to play rugby league, promote the benefits of sport including teamwork, discipline, and fitness, while removing some of the cost barrier to registration,” said Peter Winchester, Chairman of Canterbury League Club.
This year the program’s goal is to attract an additional 400 new children to the game.
“The program is dedicated to getting more kids on the field as we aim to make rugby league the most affordable and accessible sport in Canterbury-Bankstown. It would be fantastic to see local boys and girls rise through the ranks and potentially even play for the Bulldogs in the future,” said Peter.
If you are interested in registering your child, please contact your local JRL club to register before 31 March 2025.
