Vinnies Clothing Drive Returns to Canterbury This August
Vinnies (St Vincent de Paul Society) is back at Canterbury League Club for another ‘Bring Your Best’ clothing drive for the month of August after a successful 2025 campaign. We are doing it again in 2026 so time to clear out the wardrobe and make a real difference!
Donation bins are set up at the back entrance, accessible via the ground-level blue carpark, and open to all Canterbury Members and guests for the rest of August.
Every item donated goes to the Vinnies Bankstown shop, where it’s sold to help fund the services Vinnies provides to people doing it tough – things like food and grocery vouchers, financial help with bills, school essentials for kids, and referrals to other vital support.
With the cooler months still keeping their grip, Vinnies is calling out for clean, undamaged, good quality or lightly worn:
- Jackets
- Jumpers
- Coats
- Scarves
- Beanies
- Gloves
- Men’s and women’s clothing and accessories
- Men’s and women’s shoes
Canterbury is calling on Members to dig through the closet, find those lightly-worn pieces you’ve stopped reaching for, and drop them off before the drive wraps up at the end of the month. It costs nothing but a few minutes, and it could mean everything to someone in our community doing it tough this winter.
