What is Voluntary Pre-Commitment?
Voluntary Pre-Commitment (VPC) allows a player to set, manage and track their gaming activity. The following limits are available for a player when they opt in to VPC.
- Daily Time Limit
- Daily Spend Limit
- Weekly Spend Limit
The spend limit is calculated on Turnover minus Wins.
What is Daily Time Limit?
The Daily Time Limit allows a player to set the number of hours and minutes within a 24-hour period to track their gaming activity. When the player reaches their set Daily Time Limit, the player will not be able to earn any gaming points for 24 hours.
Example:
- Player reaches Daily Spend Limit on 07/04/21 at 15:46:45
- Player is restricted from earning gaming points until 08/04/21 at 15:46:45
What is Daily Spent Limit?
The Daily Spent Limit allows a player to set their daily spend in dollars and cents within a 24-hour period. When the player reaches their Daily Spend Limit, the player will not be able to earn any gaming points for 24 hours.
Example:
- Player reaches the Daily Spend Limit 07/04/21 at 15:46:45
- Player is restricted from earning gaming points till 08/04/21 at 15:46:45
What is Weekly Spend Limit?
The Weekly Spend Limit allows a player to set their weekly spend in dollars and cents for a 7-day period. The 7-day period starts from the time the player enrolment form is processed.
If the player reaches their limit:
Outside the 24-hours from period expiring
Weekly Limit resets at end of seven-day period
Example:
- Player enrols into the Weekly Spend Limit on 04/04/21 at 9:30:00
- Player reaches Weekly Spend Limit on 07/04/21 at 15:46:45
- Player is restricted from earning gaming points until 11/04/21 at 9:30:00
Within 24 hours of period expiring
Weekly Limit resets 24 hours after limit was reached
Example:
- Player enrols into the Weekly Spend Limit on 04/04/21 at 9:30:00
- Player reaches Weekly Spend Limit on 10/04/21 at 11:46:45
- Player is restricted from earning gaming points till 11/04/21 at 11:46:45
What happens when the limit is reached?
When a player reaches their limits, a message will display notifying them their limit has been reached. Gaming points will no longer accrue, and gaming promotion entries will not be earnt.
The player will need to acknowledge the message by pressing the “Confirm” button on the screen.
Also, an audible sound is alarmed to the player when their limits have been reached.
How to enrol in Voluntary Pre-Commitment
This can be done by the member at the kiosk or through the Member Application with the assistance of staff.
Update Voluntary Pre-Commitment Limits
A player can increase or decrease their existing limit. Please see a staff member who will assist you with this process.
- If the player opts to decrease their limit, this will take effect the next time the card is inserted into an EGM.
- If the player opts to increase their limit, there is a 24-hour cooling off period from the time that the limit was increased. During the cooling off period the original limits apply.
Unenroll from Voluntary Pre-Commitment
A player can opt out from VPC at any time. If the player opts out a 24-hour grace period applies, irrespective of whether the player has reached their limits or not.
