CANTERBURY TEAM

JULIANA MARISCAL, GAMING ATTENDANT

Meet Juliana – she has only been at Canterbury for a year but she has embraced the challenge of learning new tasks with her positive energy and enthusiasm! In her short time with us, she has picked up a lot of new skills, made new friends and even expanded her language repertoire by learning how to say a few things in other languages.

She is a bubble tea enthusiast, loves keeping physically and mentally fit at the gym, and is a massive fan of Korean BBQ with her friends.

ARIANA KALOURIS, SENIOR FOOD & BEVERAGE ATTENDANT

Ariana Kalouris has the kind of energy we wish we could bottle! She’s a true dynamo – one minute, she’s serving coffee and cake in the Bakehouse Café, and the next, she’s setting up a function, training new staff or chatting with customers – all done with her beaming smile and hearty laugh.

Ariana has brought her enthusiasm to Canterbury League Club for more than 30 years – and says if she could, she’d stay for 30 more!

ADAM MUIR, DUTY MANAGER

If there’s one person who exemplifies the incredible opportunities at Canterbury League Club, it’s Adam Muir! Adam joined us part-time in 2005 while weighing up his career options. Little did he know his “short-term stint” at our club would lead to a fulfilling 18-year (and counting!) career.

Adam has seized every opportunity to step up at Canterbury. But what truly keeps him coming back every day is a supportive, caring team that feels like family.

LORRIZ SANTIALA, IT SUPPORT OFFICER

Since Lorriz Santiala joined our food and beverage team in 2015, he’s delivered the best in customer service. But his true passion has always been IT. So, when an IT Support Officer position became available at Canterbury League Club in 2022, we were stoked to offer Lorriz the role.

Since accepting it, Lorriz has been thriving. He’s upskilling and growing his IT knowledge while being supported by his new team every step of the way.

TOULA PAPOULIDIS, RECEPTIONIST

Receptionist Toula Papoulidis always brings her best. Her bubbly sense of humour and willingness to go the extra mile have made her invaluable. When she’s not at the front desk, you can find Toula working with the Marketing team where she brings that same positive energy.

Toula has found a career at Canterbury that fits in with her life, shaping her work hours around caring for family and she still finds time to pursue her passion for horticulture too!

SUSAN VU, GAMING ATTENDANT

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting The Lakemba Club, you’ve probably heard a certain giggle in our satellite venue. That infectious laugh belongs to Susan Vu, our fun and bubbly Gaming Attendant!

Susan has been part of the Canterbury League Club family since 2002, with Lakemba being her second home for more than 15 years. What’s kept our cheerful all-rounder with us for so long? Variety, fun, and knowing she’s a cherished part of our customers’ lives.

NICK EL-HAJJE, PERSONAL TRAINER

From the moment he joined us in 2016, Nick El-Hajje has thrown himself enthusiastically into everything he does. Nick’s first role with us was as an Apprentice Chef.

Fast forward a few years, and Nick’s had the opportunity to explore many parts of our business before finding his niche as a Personal Trainer. Nick’s long-term goal involves combining his passion for food, health and fitness to become a pastry chef – with a nutritious twist!

JORDAN KOTSIRAS, MARKETING ASSISTANT

Jordan Kotsiras started his career at Canterbury in 2022 when an opportunity for a summer internship opened up at Canterbury League Club.

He was just about to complete his Bachelor of Commerce (Management and Marketing) from The University of Notre Dame and thought an internship would provide fantastic practical experience to help complement his studies.
